BLEPHAROPLASTY

Eyelid Surgery

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the appearance of the eyelids. This procedure can be performed on the upper and lower eyelids and is suitable for both men and women who wish to remove excess skin, fat, or muscle that may cause a tired or aged appearance. Blepharoplasty can address issues such as under-eye bags, droopy eyelids, and wrinkles around the eye area, resulting in a more rejuvenated and refreshed look.

The eyelid surgery procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia, with or without sedation, depending on the patient’s needs. During blepharoplasty, incisions are made along the natural creases of the eyelids to minimize visible scarring. Through these incisions, excess skin and fat are removed, and the muscle may be adjusted if necessary.

The recovery time for blepharoplasty varies, but most patients can return to their normal activities within about a week. It is common to experience temporary swelling and bruising after eyelid surgery, but these symptoms gradually subside. The final result of blepharoplasty is a more alert and youthful appearance, making this procedure very popular among those looking to enhance their facial appearance.
