What does a breast augmentation procedure involve?

Breast augmentation surgery or augmentation mammoplasty involves general anesthesia to avoid pain and to perform the surgery safely.
There are three ways to place the implants:

Subfascial. It is the most common technique in which the prosthesis is placed between the muscle and the fascia, a sheet that covers the muscle to have natural, postoperative results that are not very painful and with fewer injuries.

Ergonomic implants. They are round implants with a softer gel that simulate anatomical implants with the standing movement, but with a more pronounced neckline.

Implants Types

Cohesive gel silicone implants. How long is the recovery period for breast augmentation?

In general, submuscular implants carry a period of 15 days, while subfascial or subglandular implants only require 7-10 days of recovery.
